Former Fleming Mason Energy President & CEO Anthony Perry Overbey, 77, passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2017, after a long illness.
Known to his family and friends as Tony, he was the son of Dr. Perry and Evelyn HarberOverbeyof Mount Olivet.
He was a member of ElizavilleChristian Church, where he served as a deacon for 20 years. He enjoyed traveling, and after retiring, was blessed to have had the opportunity to spend a month on the Amalfi Coast in Italy – a place he called his favorite. Fishing and golfing were lifelong pastimes, and the “Robertson County Open” was celebrated yearly by Tony, Bob Sims, Richard Sims, and Lloyd Wells.
He leaves behind his wife, Olivia; his daughter, Dr. Evelyn (Jim) Perry of Louisville; his daughter, Whitney (Eric) Adams of Lexington; and his son, Nathaniel Perry OverbeyIII of Indiantown, FL. Tony “Paps” also leaves behind the joys of his life, his “babies”, Emma and Jack O’Brien, and Sam Perry. His brother-in-law, Lucien (Kathie) Johnson and his lifelong friend, Bob (Dorothea) Sims both gave him so much love and support during his long illness.
A Celebration of Life will begin at 1 p.m., Saturday, October 14th, at ElizavilleChristian Church located at 53 Hilltop Road, Ewing, Kentucky 41039.
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m., Friday, October 13th at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home. Additional visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, at the church.
